The Orchard Road, being the retail and entertainment hub of the city, is one of the prominent Singapore tourist attractions. Often known simply as Orchard, this one-way street starts from the intersection with Orange Grove Road, the location of the popular Orchard Hotel, and stretches further southeast till the intersection with Handy Road. The area is packed with some of the most vibrating shops and shopping malls that get crowded especially during the weekends. The Christmas decorations along the Orchard could be a treat for your eyes. You can also visit three of most popular museums in Singapore viz. Battle Box, National Museum of Singapore and Singapore Art Museum, all of which are located within this area. For wonderful shopping experience, one can also go to Bugis and Kampong Glam area.
